Wildlife Licenses

All reptiles that are kept as pets in Australia are native, of these there are some that require a wildlife licence.

Each state has different process for getting a wildlife licence, but generally acquiring one is easy.

In Victoria it is as simple as getting a form, filling it out and sending it off
with the required payment amount.

Concession rates apply.

Some reptiles that can be kept without reptile licences in Victoria include;

Eastern Blue Tongues
Blotched Blue Tongues
Eastern Long Necked Turtles
Marbled Geckos

Some reptiles will require you to apply for an Advanced Wildlife Licence, these reptiles are simply your
poisonous snakes, Spencer's monitors and Frilled Necked Lizards.
