Distribution: ‘Lowland’ Blotched Blue Tongue Lizards inhabit small pockets of South Australia, Victoria, Tasmania and New South Wales.
Appearance: ’Lowland’ Blotched Blue Tongue Lizards have Bright to dark blue tongues, and they have a habit of displaying it prominently and hissing loudly when disturbed, they also have white – gold – grey coloured blotches over their bodies.
Temperament: ‘Lowland’ Blotched Blue Tongue Lizards are pretty docile and gentle animals, which can be easily held by even the most inexperienced keeper.
Feeding: Adult Blue Tongue Lizards should be offered food 2-3 times per week, Juvenile – Sub Adult Blue Tongue Lizards should be offered food every 1 - 2 days and Baby Blue Tongue Lizards should be offered food daily. Food should be dusted with calcium every second feed for Babies - Juveniles - Sub Adults - Adults.
